ANTI HUMAN- TRAFFICKING INITIATIVE
Florida ranks as the third highest state for human trafficking cases and second for labor trafficking cases, according to the Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking. As a tourist destination with multiple entryways, including airports and seaports, South Florida is a breeding ground for human trafficking operations.
As a collaborative, multidisciplinary effort, the WBA is committed to empowering victims of human trafficking and disempowering traffickers. The WBA seeks to provide victims with safe, confidential legal recourse by establishing a dedicated fund to compensate all legal and other professionals providing related assistance.
